Filled with alkalizing and iron-rich spinach, protein from collagen (or your protein of choice), fiber rich flaxseed, a small amount of blueberries to replenish glycogen after your workout, and avocado to add a creamy texture which simultaneously keeps your brain and hormones happy. Glow Smoothie

Recipe:

1 cup of water

1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla non-dairy milk*

1- 3 servings vanilla collagen powder (or your protein of choice)

¼ - ½ cup of frozen blueberries

1 large handful of spinach

1/4 avocado

2 tbsp ground flax seed

A few dashes of cinnamon

Optional: Add hemp seeds and/or cacao nibs at the end to encourage chewing in the mouth which helps with digestion

*Note: Feel free to add more liquid if you like it less thick.


Bonus: add your favorite superfoods like astragalus root powder, cacao, reishi etc. These adaptogens can add even more benefits for your body.

If you’re feeling hungry within two hours after drinking this, try adding another scoop of protein powder, more flax seed, and 1/4 more avocado (equating to 1/2 of an avocado). Play around with the quantities of the protein, fat, and fiber to find the balance that works for your lifestyle.
